ジャズトロンボーン奏者 / 作曲家
村上 和帆
甲南ブラスアンサンブル部在籍中にはコンサートマスターを務め、国際ジャズフェスティバルステラジャムにて優勝。またJapan Student Jazz Festivalではソリスト賞を受賞。
同志社⼤学商学部⼊学後、同志社大学The Third Herd Orchestraや慶應義塾⼤学 Light Music Societyにて活動。同志社大学 The Third Herd Orchestraでは第５位（2016年）、第６位を受賞した2017年はコンサートマスターを務めた。慶應義塾大学 Light Music Societyでは第３位（2018年）を受賞。
同大学卒業は関西圏でジャズトロンボーン奏者として活動し、コンボでの演奏や、ミュージカルでの演奏のほか、広瀬未来ジャズオーケストラや横尾昌二郎ビッグバンドなどのビッグバンドに参加。
2022年、活動の拠点をニューヨークに移し、演奏や創作活動を行っている。また、ニューヨーク市立大学 Queens College, Aaron Copland School of Music, Jazz Performance科で修士号を取得。
2025年、活動の拠点を日本に移す。
トロンボーンを宗清洋, 礒野展輝, 広瀬未来, John Yao, Ryan Keberleなどに師事。作編曲を李祥太, Christopher Zuarなどに師事。（敬称略）
兵庫県神⼾市に生まれ、５歳からピアノを始める。
甲南中学校⼊学と同時にブラスアンサンブル部でトロンボーン、ビッグバンドジャズを始める。
Kazuho Murakami Large Ensembleを主宰。2020年、ドラムに福盛進也をゲストとして招き、2021年4月2日に「記憶の海」をリリース。2022年には、初のアルバム「Growth Rings」をリリース。フルート、アルト、テナー、バリトンサックス、トロンボーン、トランペットの管楽器セクション、ギター、ピアノ、ベース、ドラムのリズムセクション、またヴァイオリン、ヴィオラ、チェロのストリングスセクションからなるこの編成で、村上自身や兄弟のバックグラウンドであるクラシックと、ジャズを組み合わせたアンサンブルを展開している。
Kazuho Murakami
Jazz Trombonist / Composer / Arranger
Kazuho Murakami is a versatile trombone player and composer. His compositional language, steeped in the jazz and classical traditions. Kazuho developed Kazuho Murakami Large Ensemble which has Trumpet, Trombone, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Flute, Rhythm section and Strings section. He explores explores a deep sense of harmony and lyricism.
Murakami has released two records. Lately, he released "Growth Rings" (2022). The first EP "Sea of Memories" is featuring Shinya Fukumori.
Kazuho Murakami was born in Kobe, Japan. He began playing piano at age five.
When he got into Konan Junior High School, he began playing trombone and Big band jazz in Konan Brass Ensemble Club.
While Kazuho was in the band, he was leading the band. The band got a championship in the International Jazz Festival Stella Jam. He got the soloist award in the Student Jazz Festival which is one of the well-known middle and high school jazz competitions.
After Murakami got into Doshisha University in Kyoto, he took part in Doshisha University The Third Herd Orchestra and Keio University Light Music Society. These bands and Kazuho was awarded in Yamano Big Band Jazz Contest which is one of the most well-known Big Band competitions in Japan.
He moved to New York City in 2022 after he began being a professional jazz musician for a few years in Japan. Murakami has been performing in Big Band and combo scene.
