ジャズトロンボーン奏者 / 作曲家
村上 和帆
兵庫県神戸市生まれ。5歳からピアノを始め、甲南中学校入学と同時にブラスアンサンブル部でトロンボーン、ビッグバンドジャズを始める。
同部在籍中にはコンサートマスターを務め、国際ジャズフェスティバルステラジャムにて優勝、
Japan Student Jazz Festivalではソリスト賞を受賞。
同志社大学商学部入学後、同志社大学The Third Herd Orchestraや慶應義塾大学Light Music Societyにて活動。
同志社大学The Third Herd Orchestraでは第5位（2016年）、第6位を受賞した2017年はコンサートマスターを務めた。
慶應義塾大学Light Music Societyでは第3位（2018年）を受賞。
同大学卒業後は関西圏でジャズトロンボーン奏者として活動し、コンボでの演奏や、ミュージカルでの演奏のほか、広瀬未来ジャズオーケストラや横尾昌二郎ビッグバンドなどのビッグバンドにも参加。
自身のKazuho Murakami Large Ensembleを主宰。2021年にドラムに福盛進也を迎え、「記憶の海」をリリース。
2022年には初のリーダーアルバム「Growth Rings」をリリース。管楽器、リズムセクション、ストリングスからなる編成で、
クラシックとジャズを融合したアンサンブルを展開。
2022年、活動の拠点をニューヨークに移し、演奏や創作活動を行う。
ニューヨーク市立大学Queens College, Aaron Copland School of Music, Jazz Performance科にて修士号を取得。
2025年、活動の拠点を日本に移す。
トロンボーンを中井信輔、宗清洋、礒野展輝、広瀬未来、池本茂貴、John Yao、Ryan Keberleに師事。
作編曲を李祥太、Christopher Zuarに師事。（敬称略）
Kazuho Murakami
Jazz Trombonist / Composer / Arranger
Kazuho Murakami is a jazz trombonist and composer based in New York City, relocating to Japan in 2025.
He holds a Master's degree in Jazz Performance from Queens College, Aaron Copland School of Music, City University of New York.
Murakami leads the Kazuho Murakami Large Ensemble, featuring winds, rhythm section, and strings, creating a unique fusion of classical and jazz elements. He has released two albums: "Memory of the Sea" (2021) featuring drummer Shinya Fukumori, and his debut leader album "Growth Rings" (2022).
A winner of the International Jazz Festival Stellar Jam and recipient of the Soloist Award at the Japan Student Jazz Festival, Murakami has performed with prominent ensembles including Miki Hirose Jazz Orchestra and Shojiro Yokoo Big Band.
During his university years, he achieved notable rankings with Doshisha University The Third Herd Orchestra (5th place 2016, 6th place 2017 as concertmaster) and Keio University Light Music Society (3rd place 2018).
Born in Kobe, Japan, Murakami began piano at age five and started trombone and big band jazz upon entering Konan Junior High School, where he served as concertmaster. After graduating from Doshisha University's Faculty of Commerce, he was active in the Kansai region performing in combos, musicals, and big bands before relocating to New York in 2022.
Murakami has studied trombone with Shinsuke Nakai, Hiroshi Munekiyo, Nobuki Isono, Miki Hirose, Shigeki Ikemoto, John Yao, and Ryan Keberle, and composition/arrangement with Sangthae Lee and Christopher Zuar.
